'달구벌' 대구의 옛 이름을 본 딴 단어로 부터 몇 사람이 아닌 대구를 위한 장소를 모티브로 계획했다. 대구의 지역성을 이용하여 대구시민의 마음을 움직이고 그들과 함께하는 공간으로 대구의 지리적 특성인 분지의 등선을 디자인화시킨 반원을 회전과 배치를 통하여 디자인 모듈영역을 완성하고 그것들을 서로 교합하여 곡선의 아름다움을 담는 벽과 천장을 만들었다. 아름다운 곡선이 만들어 내는 웅자함, 동선의 시각적 교차가 주는 경쾌함, 그리고 내면의 편안함과 따뜻함이 담겨있는 가구와의 만남을 통해 '달구벌'이란 컨셉을 명확히 한다.
무채색의 바닥은 곳곳에 우드바닥으로 포인트를 주었고 벽과 천장은 화이트 톤으로 마감해 모던하고 차분한 느낌을 강조했으며 간접조명과 직접조명을 적당하게 배치함으로 은은하면서 공간과 어우러지게 계획하였다.
From the word 'Dalgubeol' derived from the old name of Daegu, we planned a place for Daegu, not just a few people, as a motif. Using the locality of Daegu, it is a space that moves the hearts of Daegu citizens and is together with them. The achromatic floor was given a point with wooden floors, and the walls and ceiling were finished in white to emphasize a modern and calm feeling.
